Role Summary
Driven by our growing reputation as consultancy leaders in Capital Markets, we are continuing to expand our global team.
This is where you come in, to join our team as a Senior Consultant based in London, working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions.
Our Senior Consultants have three key core streams of responsibility:
- High-quality client delivery, across a range of complex advisory and transformation engagements
- Definition of high-quality service proposals and market intelligence, partnering with our Domain SMEs
- Playing an active role building out our Tonic team and culture
This will be a crucial role through a period of accelerated company growth, where you will have the opportunity to work on innovative and impactful projects alongside a team of talented colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Leading of critical transformation Business Analyst deliverables, across a wide spectrum of client delivery engagements:
- Detailed client current state analysis (process/IT & data/tech/data/governance/more)
- Business requirements definition
- Vendor assessments and selection
- Target operating model definition
- Test strategy, planning, scripting and management
- Operational readiness, including creation of operational procedures
- Go-live management
- Creation of high-value project artefacts, acting as Tonic’s ‘IP’
- PMO support, to ensure high-profile client engagements are kept on track
- Project status tracking, project reporting, RAID management, project team communications, escalations, etc.
Tonic Service Definition
- Regulatory analysis, to ensure we can meet our clients’ evolving needs
- Interpretation of key regulations, creation of easy-to-understand regulation summaries and breakdowns for Tonic and client usage
- Tonic service proposal definition, to drive the next wave of Tonic engagements for our clients
- Content creation for Tonic sales and marketing campaigns Sales proposal support, to grow Tonic and your own business development skills
- Ongoing assistance to Tonic sales process with new and existing clients, including creation of pitch materials, attendance at sales meetings, to sales reporting and MI
Tonic Team & Culture
- Onboard and mentor junior team members when they join Tonic
- Take an active role in recruiting new consultants via interviews and assessments
- Demonstrate a positive, inquisitive and ‘can-do’ approach to work
Additional Tasks
Any additional duties as they arise as part of company growth, to be agreed on an ad-hoc basis.
Required Skills & Experience
- >5 years' experience within Financial Services at a Big 4 consultancy, or other major consultancies
- Successful completion of a Capital Markets graduate scheme at a Big 4 consultancy, or other major consultancy
- First-hand experience of derivatives or securities finance products
- First-hand experience of one or more of the following domains:
- Collateral management
- Post-Trade (clearing, settlement, custody, etc)
- Digital (digital assets, AI, crypto)
- 2+ years' experience of Business Analyst responsibilities Excellent English skills, both spoken and content creation:
- Written and visual content
- Strong Microsoft Office application skills, in particular:
- Excellent PowerPoint skills
- Highly skilled in using Excel, including Pivot tables
- Strong data analysis skills
- Excellent and versatile communication skills, verbal and written, with all levels and types of stakeholders
- Strong organisational ability and attention to detail
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Direct Project Management Office (PMO) experience, including project status tracking, reporting, RAID management, etc
- Cross-product experience, including derivatives (bilateral OTC/cleared OTC/listed), repo, securities lending and prime brokerage
Qualifications
- A bachelor's university degree, 2:1 (or equivalent)
